Niwaki Daikiba Secateurs + Canvas Holster
Rather like B.A. Baracus, our favourite character in the A-Team, these secateurs serve a purpose. You won’t get the style or charm of Face, certainly not the madcap wizardry of Murdock, and very little of Hannibal’s leadership skills, but their SLD steel blades and big, solid bypass make them a dependable bet for rough and tough jobs (nor should they be messed with by any crazy fools).
The substantial weight and feel is enhanced by the chunky bypass, which combined with the tapered, slightly elongated blade allows for both precise and powerful pruning - ideal for both woody and soft green cuts. The drop forged SLD (semi stainless) steel blades hold their edge, sharpen up well, and crucially, won’t rust unless completely neglected - meaning these are somewhat lower maintenance than our other secateurs, and perfect for those prone to lapses in discipline…
Daikiba Secateurs come without packaging, but instead with a Canvas Holster to keep them shinier than BA’s jewellery.

Named after the Japanese term for ‘big tusk’ or ‘fang,’ these hardy secateurs are up to everything from trimming tough branches and stems, to opening compost bags and cutting garden twine. That being said, be mindful of the maximum cutting size (up to 15mm depending on the plant type) and use the base of the blades for heavier cuts. Always cut diagonally across the branch, and avoid twisting or applying uneven pressure. Clean the secateurs after each use and treat with Camellia Oil before storing in the Canvas Holster.
