Our team is made up of long serving employees giving Pavilion Specimen Plants a strong foundation built on loyalty, experience and commitment. We are here to help you with selecting plants, plant care items and pottery to suit your project.
Magnolia 'Galaxy' is unique in form and flower among cultivated magnolias. It is a single stemmed, pyramidal, tree-form magnolia with excellent, ascending branching habit. 'Galaxy' flowers 2 weeks after its early parent M. 'Diva', late enough to avoid most late spring frost damage.
Noteworthy Characteristics
Broadleaf deciduous tree, moderate growth rate of 15-20 inches (38-50 cm) per year, reaching a mature size of 30-35 ft by 15-20 ft wide (9-10.5 m × 4.5-7.6); initially an upright habit and later developing a broad pyramidal form. Blooms appear in mid to late spring before the leaves; the flowers are a rich rose-pink to reddish-purple on the outside and lighter inside and about 12.5 cm long and with 11-12 tepals.
Please note that image is just a visual representation of the type of plant and sizes/shapes vary depending on the specimen selected.
